Math Team

Come join the Whittier Math Club if you like working with numbers and solving math problems. We meet Mondays after school from 2:15 to 3:15 as well as Tuesdays at lunch in Mrs. Goss's room. It is a fun challenge working with other classmates and a great way to find other people with the same interests. We represent Whittier as we travel and compete at several math meets throughout the year. Students compete individually in arithmetic and geometry and awards are given to the top three scorers at each grade level. Students also compete together as a team to solve a variety of problems. We learn and practice concepts that are not part of the regular curriculum as well as those that are. It is a great middle school experience!
