Hello parents, students, staff, and community members of RSU# 16.
I am pleased to be working for such a great community and great people.
Here is a little bit about myself. I have been working in school transportation for close to 40 years. Those years include several years at MSAD 44 as a mechanic / bus driver, and MSAD 17 as a mechanic / bus driver. I worked at MSAD 52 as a transportation specialist prior to starting here at RSU# 16 two years ago. I was appointed the new transportation director as of July 1st. I am married, have two grown sons, one teenage daughter, daughter inlaw, and two wonderful grandsons. I grew up, went to school, and lived in South Paris all of my life. My favorite things to do when I am not working, or with my family, is to prospect for gold,or take my Corvette to car shows.
Please feel free to call or stop by and say hello anytime!
Stewart leads the team of professional school bus drivers, assistants and mechanics who provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from RSU 16’s curricular and extra-curricular programs. He is actively recruiting new drivers for the RSU 16 transportation team, and invites anyone who may be interested in exploring this rewarding and fulfilling career path to contact him.
Where we're going is extremely important. But equally important is how we get there. Our Rules of the Road point the way. The most important rule relating to how we do business is "Respect Each Other." It's a simple statement, but it carries a lot of the power of what makes RSU 16 a special place. It means that we will operate with integrity and justice in everything we do. That's not just a nice thing to do; it's a requirement for working here. In addition, each employee of RSU 16 should endeavor to deal fairly with students, parents, the public and one another at all times.
