Melissa has been driving bus in Minot for 23 years! Her love for the kids keep her driving!

Jill has been driving bus in Poland for 17 years! She drives on Route 26 and has to stop 4 lanes of traffic on some of her pick-ups/drop-offs. That's bravery!!!
Student Monitor
Carl has been a van driver and student monitor for a year here at RSU 16. He likes the job - it's close to home, it has good hours and good benefits, and he can pick up extra trips if he desires to do so. He appreciates that the day is broken up - meaning drivers get a break in the middle of the day when buses are not running and it's a great oppurtunity to get things done.

Ted is a retired school teacher and enjoys driving a van to keep to stay connected to students - he says it keeps him young! He's been with RSU 16 for three years.

John has been a bus driver here at RSU 16 for 6 years. As much as he would like to retire, we need him too much! He fills in throughout the district, driving for sports teams and where needed.

Sue has fifteen years of driving here at RSU 16! She truly enjoys the kids!

Linda has been driving a school bus since 2001. She has the LRTC route, taking the high school students to the Lewiston Regional Technical College in Lewiston, ME. It's her enjoyment of the kids that keeps her driving.

Doug has been driving here at RSU 16 for nine years. He feels this is a secure job and he enjoys the new challenges that arise.

Maurizio has been with RSU 16 for almost three years and he loves his job and loves the kids! That keeps him driving for us here at RSU 16.

Mike has been driving a bus in Minot for 23 years in addition to 20 years as an Oxford police officer. Mike enjoys the kids and his job.

Roxanne is one our van drivers, and is also an Ed Tech at the high school! This is her first year driving for the district.

Dave's vocation in life was that of a minister. He began his career in Oxford, ME in 1960. In 1975 Dave relocated to the Maritimes (Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, Canada) continuing his ministry and to help supplement his income he began driving school bus. When Dave retired in 2003, he returned to his roots in Oxford, ME and became the head bus driver in Minot. When Minot, Mechanic Falls, and Poland became RSU #16 in 2009, and a Transportation Director was hired, Dave then became a regular bus driver for RSU #16. He's an experienced bus driver who enjoys what he does!

Nick has been a bus driver here at RSU 16 for 4 years. He feels it offers the opportunity to be part of the community. Nick has been instrumental in helping out the Operations Director with Transfinder, the routing software used here at the district.

Stephanie has been driving for RSU 16 for 3 years, and has 20 years experience from other schools. One of the things that Stephanie said she enjoys is never knowing what is going to come out of a kid's mouth!

Elwood has been driving a van for about a year now. Prior to coming to RSU 16, Elwood drove for Community Concepts for 10 years and overall has 28 years experience as a driver.
