Lily Cote-Powell was welcomed to the RSU 16 School Board as the junior student representative. She joins the senior representative, Gavin Bourgoin, as representatives of the student body. Their role, as outlined in district policy, is “to offer student voice to aid in the making of collaborative decisions with other members of the school community regarding policy and culture.” Gavin will act as Lily’s mentor and she will serve a two year term.
Gavin Bourgoin is a member of the PRHS Class of 2019. He is involved with the Student Representative Board where he has served as his class President for three years, and ine year as class secretary. Gavin enjoys writing in his academics and photography in his free time. After high school, he hopes to pursue a career in Business with a concentration in Marketing. Gavin joined school board to learning more about school policy and to give a student perspective for the school board.
Lily Cote-Powell is a PRHS student and will graduate in 2020. She is a part of the Student Representative Body, as the Vice President of the Junior class. She also participates in Safe Passage. Her favorite classes are any focusing on History or the Social Sciences in general. She joined the School Board because she enjoys learning about the political process and jumped at the opportunity to be a part of it.
