Check out the district/schools calendar of events.  This is our new 'master' calendar and it offers the ability to look at one calendar at a time, or several (click on the 'Select Calendars' button, and then 'Apply Selections.'). For example, those of you who have students in more than one school, simply select the calendars for the school(s) you want to see. You also have the opportunity to see events graphically in a monthly calendar format, or simply as a listing of events.

A tidbit of information about our district 'year-at-a-glance' calendar of holidays, school vacations and in-service days. As you may guess, this involves input from several places before it can be determined. We need to know the LRTC (Lewiston Regional Technical College) class schedule so that our students attending those classes are available on the same days. Our administrative team meets to look at activities planned for the year, such as teacher training days (inservice); holidays; spring and winter breaks, etc., to come up with a calendar that provides the mandated 175 days of school for students. It's an interesting (and sometimes lengthy) process how it all comes together!

Where do the policies come from?

The Maine School Management Association, located in Augusta, provides all schools in the state of maine with school policies. The policies and direction of the Maine School Management Association are established by the MSMA Action and Policy Committees. You can click on the link if you would like more information.

We organize our policies by section, as seen by clicking on the link below. Click on the grouping to take you to a drill-down of the policies within that group. If you have any questions or feedback on a policy, please fill out and submit the form at the right side of this section. We do appreciate your feedback and questions. Thank you!
