Third Grade students at PCS two-hand turned, sashayed, and do-si-doed with their families on April 25th in the PCS Gym. This was part of the annual Third Grade Family Folk Dance, an INFOrmance rather than a performance.
RSU 16 Elementary Music Department recognizes the importance of providing students with quality musical literature and experiences. We seek opportunities for families to interact and for students to own their new learning through teaching. As part of Music class, students prepared folk dances from several countries including Russia, Bolivia, Germany and more. They practiced keeping a steady beat, moving artfully, using folk dance terminology, and social skills such as working as a team, finding a partner, and treating every partner with respect. Great work third graders!
