As the athletic director here at Regional School Unit (RSU) 16, Don has a myriad of responsibilities. He is responsible for hiring and supervising coaches as well as understanding their needs and plans for the season. Also included are making sure all the school teams are in compliance with school regulations – checking to make sure students are academically eligible to play, etc. Don is intriguing and flexible as he balances a budget to fund each sport, coordinates schedules with other athletic directors from other schools AND around the weather, and handles transportation needs. This doesn’t even scratch the surface of personnel issues that arise with students, team interactions, parents, coaches – and keeping things flowing as smoothly as possible. We are fortunate to have someone with Don’s character, expertise and knowledge leading our athletic programs here at RSU 16.
