Comprehensive School Counselor Program
A comprehensive School Counselor program is designed for:
- Addressing Personal/Social, Academic and College/Career readiness
 - Short Term Individual Counseling
 - Group Counseling (ie. friendship, social skills, family change, anxiety, anger management etc.)
 - Crisis Management
 - Classroom curriculum
 - Attendance
 - Team Building
 - Consultation/communication with staff, parents, outside resources
 - Referrals to outside resources
 - Registration of new students
 - Transition from 6th to 7th grade and from 8th to 9th grade
 - Assists with executive functioning skills (organization) and academic needs
 - Facilitates Restorative Practices circles to help kids problem solve and come up with conflict resolution between other students and/or adults
 - My role is to work with ALL students, staff and families of Whittier!
