Curriculum Director
As the Curriculum Director for RSU 16, Cherie provides leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning across the district. She works collaboratively with the superintendent, principals, teachers, and instructional leaders to ensure all students have access to high-quality, engaging learning experiences.
Cherie's responsibilities include aligning district curriculum with Maine Learning Results and other state requirements, coordinating curriculum development and implementation, facilitating collaborative work with school-based literacy and mathematics teams, and planning meaningful professional learning for educators. She partners with teachers and administrators to analyze student achievement and assessment data, strengthen instructional practices, and support continuous school improvement.
In addition, Cherie oversees federal Title programs under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements while maximizing resources to support student learning and educator development. She also coordinates the selection and implementation of instructional materials and assessment systems that promote equitable access to high-quality instruction for all students.

She is dedicated to supporting teachers and school leaders as they work together to provide every RSU 16 student with an exceptional educational experience.
