• Discussed iGen Chapters 4-10 - members selected 3 chapters and shared:  1) a sentence that was meaningful to you and helped you gain a deeper understanding of the text. 2) a phrase that moved, engaged, provoked or was in some way meaningful to you. 3) a word that captured your attention or struck you as powerful.
• Used the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) protocol to review academic, financial, and organizational data and to review the responses to the survey.  Why? We need to review the state of the district to ensure we hear stakeholder voices as we develop a holistic view to develop the strategic plan. What is this group doing?

The Strategic Planning Team (SPT), will update the RSU 16 Strategic Plan. The SPT will create a five-year strategic plan to include, at a minimum, statements of mission and core beliefs, with identified goals and actions for meeting those goals. The SPT will engage the community and staff in the planning process, will report on its progress at a School Board meeting each month, and will present a draft plan for the School Board’s review, input, and eventual approval.  To uphold transparency, a summary email detailing agenda items from each meeting will be distributed. The School Board reserves the authority to edit, approve, and distribute the Strategic Plan.
